ABOUT US
AASA is a new student led organization at Texas A&M University that is using the power of social media to create change. Platforms such as TikTok and Instagram allow us to extend our influence from Aggieland to the world. We strive to create a safe and open space for survivors to be amongst people who not only support them, but understand their struggles. AASA also encourages friends and allies to the cause to join our fight against sexual violence. Speaking out against sexual assault in our society is not the sole responsibility of the survivor, but the friends, family, and loved ones of the survivors as well.
What we do
Our organization gives our members a platform to speak freely on what they are passionate about. During our weekly meetings our members work on the videos that we will upload on our TikTok and Instagram pages.
AASA looks to make an impact in our community as well as online. During the Fall and Spring semesters our organization is working on its involvement in on campus events and volunteering its time to resource centers in the Bryan/College Station area.
